Brazil’s new kit for Copa America 2019

The South American super-giants Brazil had already revealed their new kit for Copa America 2019. The had announced a special white colored kit for the upcoming 46th edition of Copa America 2019.

The will have their usual yellow colored kit as first choice whereas the white one will serve as an away kit. Brazil is hosting the tournament this time, starting from June. Brazil had won their first Copa America title, exactly 100 years ago in 1919.

“White pays tribute to the historic 1919 trophy. A classic polo neck, player numbers and details on the sleeves are blue,” Nike’s official website stated.

“The Brazilian national team will debut the 2019/20 Brasil Copa America 100th Anniversary Jersey as part of a special uniform at the first match of the tournament.”

Brazil are drawn in Group A along with Venezuela, Peru and Bolivia. The will start their campaign with a match against Bolivia.

Brazil confirmed the use of Facial Recognition Cameras in Copa America 2019

The Brazilian Football Confederation confirmed that they will be using Facial Recognition Cameras in all the six venues as a part of security measure.

Brazil is hosting the 46th edition of the Copa America June and July, which will be played in six different venues of five different cities.

“I can say the first event in Brazil to work with facial recognition is the Copa America. We are going to let a database to be supplied with worldwide information”, said Hilario Medeiros, Security Manager of the organizing committee.

The organizing committee looks very much attached to the security for the players, official in the mega event of South America.

Argentina and Colombia to host 2020 Copa America

Argentina and Colombia are set to host the 2020 Copa America, which will be the 47th edition of the South America mega event.

The CONMEBOL decided to host the Copa America in 2020 so as to host every edition in even years in the gap of four years. Therefore, the next edition will in 2024.

The 47th edition will kick off from 12
June to 12 July 2020. CONMEBOL confirmed last week that they have declined the proposal from US to host the 47th edition.

Total of 16 teams are planned to be include in the 2020 Copa America and all the matches will be played in eight stadiums of eight different cities.

Rumors: Real Madrid lining up £350 Million Offer for Neymar

It has been learnt that the Spanish giant Real Madrid are preparing for a world record £350 Million Offer bid for the South American star, Neymar. The Brazilian star is currently in contract with French side Paris Saint Germain (PSG).

Neymar had joined the French side from Barcelona in world record fee of £198 million. And again, he could break his own record if h manages to sign for Real Madrid.

After their early exit from UEFA Champions league and slumping form in La Liga and exit from the Copa Del Rey made the Real Madrid boss Florentino Perez to think of bringing some star to the squad. Real Madrid has been totally outlasted by Barcelona and other clubs in La Liga after the departure of their star Cristiano Ronaldo.

According to SPORTS, Real Madrid are ready to pay 350 million euro for the Brazilian Super star.

 

The 27-year-old, former Barcelona star is currently out from the PSG squad due to recurrence of a metatarsal injury in his right foot. Copa America 2019 ‘Official Ball and Trophy’ unveiled !

The official Ball for the Copa America 2019 has been made public, with still 3 months to go for the biggest football event in South America. Along with the ball, the official trophy was also revealed.

The 46th edition of the Copa America will be hosted by Brazil for the first time since 1989. The 26 matches of the tournament will be played in six venues of five different cities. The opening match will be played at Morumbi Stadium in São Paulo.

The Brazilian great Ronaldinho unveiled the official ball of the Copa America 2019. Nike Rabisco will be the official ball for the oldest tournament on South America.

The first match will be played between Brazil and Bolivia at Morumbi Stadium in São Paulo on 14th June, 2019.

Chile are the defending champions in both previous occasions (2015 and 2016). The winner of the Copa America 2019 will represent South America in FIFA Confederation Cup 2021.

Major boost for Argentina ahead of Copa America 2019

Argentina gained a major boost ahead of Copa America 2019 as their super star, Lionel Messi is set to return to the national squad first time after Argentina’s exit from FIFA World Cup 2018.

Messi hadn’t featured in national shirt after their 4-3 defeat to Franc in the round of 16 match of FIFA World Cup 2018. Similarly, Angel Di Maria was also included in the 21-men squad for the first time after the same defeat.

Argentina is set to play a couple of friendlies against Venezuela and Morocco, later this month.

The the 46th edition of Copa America will be the fifth for Lionel Messi and will carry a great significance this time. In the previous four, he had been the losing finalists.
