Brazil confirmed the use of Facial Recognition Cameras in Copa America 2019

The Brazilian Football Confederation confirmed that they will be using Facial Recognition Cameras in all the six venues as a part of security measure.

Brazil is hosting the 46th edition of the Copa America June and July, which will be played in six different venues of five different cities.

“I can say the first event in Brazil to work with facial recognition is the Copa America. We are going to let a database to be supplied with worldwide information”, said Hilario Medeiros, Security Manager of the organizing committee.

The organizing committee looks very much attached to the security for the players, official in the mega event of South America.
