Argentina vs Peru: Copa America 2024

Copa America holders and reigning world champions Argentina aim to extend their perfect Group A record as they take on Peru at Florida’s Hard Rock Stadium on Saturday night.

With their place in the knockout rounds already secured, La Albiceleste will face a determined La Blanquirroja, who must secure all three points to keep their hopes of advancing past the group stage alive. Argentina clinched the first spot in the 2024 Copa America quarter-finals after a narrow 1-0 victory over Chile in New Jersey on Wednesday.

Peru’s legendary striker, Paolo Guerrero, who has won the Copa America Golden Boot three times and is the country’s all-time leading scorer with 39 goals, is just one goal away from tying the late Teodoro Fernandez’s record for the most goals scored by a Peruvian in the tournament’s history (15).
